Cape Town--Fines imposed on councillors not attending meetings would go to street children and two other organisations, the Cape Metropolitan Council resolved at its monthly meeting on Wednesday.

Executive committee chairman Pierre Uys said it had been agreed all proceeds be equally divided between the Salesian Institute, Ons Plek Shelters and street children.
